SelfieBot for Advanced Time-Lapse Control

As seen on Atmel’s blog, the SelfieBot seems ideal for use as a videoconferencing device, especially if you want to show a procedure to someone remotely. For DIYTripods though, what is really interesting to me is its capability as an advanced time-lapse mount.

The SelfieBot can hold a GoPro camera or a smartphone, and can extend filming times with its internal battery. Once set up, it can then pan and tilt your device in a controlled manner. On the other hand, I suppose you could use one mount to instruct others on how to use the device for time lapses. You can make your own using information found on Hackaday.io, or you can simply buy one.

On the other hand, if you just want a simple panning device, here’s how to make one using an egg timer.
