To introduce this blog, here’s a picture of one of my first “tripod” projects, a stand for the now-ancient Env2 “feature phone.”
Full details on how this piece of wood was adapted into a mount for taking pictures can be found here. The original design for this “DIY Cell phone stand” is outlined in this post, which is just a milled slot in a piece of wood.
On DIYTripods, I plan to feature some of my own projects and original content, as well as a plethora of links to other “tripods” and camera mounts that I find interesting. I’ve really been impressed by the amount of creativity people put into placing their cameras for that unique shot, so I hope to feature the best of this here.
If you have something that you’d like to see featured here, be sure to write me at jeremy@DIYTripods.com. I’ll be happy to link up to your site if I use your camera-mounting contraption, or if you want to give me pictures and a description of what you did, that’s certainly an option as well.
So enjoy, subscribe, and/or let me know what you think in the comments!
